EAST SUSSEX CAT CLUB SHOW REPORT

09th April 2011
Thank you to Helen and her hard working team for my invite to this lovely friendly show.
My steward was Shaun Knight who as always, handles the cats with such expertise. Thank you Shaun.
AC British or Manx Champion - Male
1 Gr Ch - Graves’s Ch. Sargenta Silver Zebedee (30s)
Well grown boy with a well rounded head with good width between neat ears. Balanced cheeks, large round eyes of excellent green colour. Short broad brick coloured nose. Level bite. Chin could be firmer. Some fawning on the tip of his nose. Body of good weight and depth. Stocky legs and rounded paws. Tail sporting clear black rings, but a tad short for balance, although thick at base with a rounded tip. Clear spotting along his spineline and on his flanks, but some barring showing on his shoulders and flanks. His spots are defined but I would have liked them of a more intense black colour. Contrast of clear silver on a short dense coat. Nice temperament.

AC British of Manx Champion – Female
1 Gr Ch – Chance’s Wellmar Anastasia (21)
Pretty girl with a lovely round head shape, well set tiny ears. Balanced cheeks, expressive round eyes of deep gold, short broad nose level bite and firm chin. Good heavy girl for her age. Good sturdy legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion but the tip was rather pointed. Excellent mingling of red and cream. All four paws broken with colour. Super short very dense coat. She thoroughly deserved her Grand Champion certificate today.
Black/Chocolate/Cinnamon Tortie Adult
BOB – Chance’s Wellmar Anastasia (21)

Blue-Cream/Lilac-Tortie/Fawn Tortie Adult
1 CC – Evans Evavale Penny Lane (28)
What a stunning young lady. Not even a year old. She has excellent type, with a true ‘applehead’ with tiny well set ears, balanced cheeks, excellent round eyes of orange colour. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Cobby heavy body of good depth with very thickset legs and huge round paws. Tail of correct length, thick at base with a rounded tip. She has a super pale blue coat mingled well with pale cream. All 4 paws broken with cream. Excellent dense short coat and a lovely temperament. I wanted to take her home.

AC Colourpointed British Adult – Male
1 CC – Frost’s Kruzinkal Hugo Boss (40 13)
Lovely boy for type and temperament. Good round head with good width between well set ears. Balanced cheeks. Excellent round eyes of starling blue colour. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Cobby body with good depth. Short thick set legs and rounded paws. Tail thick at base and sporting clear chocolate tabby rings and well rounded at the tip. Excellent points for colour and pattern which all match on a super clear contrast. Coat short and dense.

AC Colourpointed British Adult – Female
1 CC – Frost’s Kruzinkal Summer Blush (40 9)
Sweet girl with a headshape that still needs to develop. Ears well set but a little large for balance today. Head also a little tri-angular in shape. Good round eyes of blue colour. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Although she is on the small side, she was of good weight for her age. Lovely matching chocolate tortie points with an attractive facial blaze. Good clear contrast to her points. Coat a tad long for perfection but fairly dense and crisp to touch.

Golden Tipped Adult – Male
1 CC – Rowe’s Heathdown Sunny Boy
Very handsome well grown boy with a lovely round headshape. Well set ears but a little flared at base. Lovely round eyes of super green colour. Short broad brick coloured nose clearly defined with liner. Level bite, chin could be firmer for balance. Good heavy body in proportion with balanced thick set legs and rounded paws. Tail of correct length with a rounded tip, just showing ghost rings today. Lovely even tipping on a clear apricot contrast. Coat length short, dense and crisp to touch. Lovely boy.

Golden Tipped Adult – Female
1 CC – Rowe’s Heathdown Peponi
Very pretty girl with a lovely round head and a neat ear set. Little chubby cheeks, excellent round eyes of green colour with clear liner showing. Short broad brick coloured nose defined with liner. Level bite and firm chin. Balanced cobby body standing on thick legs and round paws. Tail in proportion just showing some ghost rings. Excellent black tipping on a super contrast of very rich apricot contrast. Coat short, dense and crisp. Very promising young lady. Another girl I would have loved to have taken home.

Blue/Lilac/Fawn Tortie & White Kitten
1st & BOB – Holloway’s Rayanshel Iced Gem (22a)
Pretty little kitten of lovely type. Well rounded head and well set ears. Balanced cheeks, round eyes of deepest orange colour, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Good weight for her age of only 8 months. Excellent symmetrical patches of blue and cream. Her Blue patching is a tad dark in colour but she has no silver tipping. Coat very short and dense. Sturdy legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion.

Brown Spotted Kitten
1st & BOB – Wolfe’s Bumpkin Wolfe Whistle
Super boy, very mature for his age of just over 8 months. Excellent round head, but he lacks width between his ears which are a tad large at present and flared at base. ~Well rounded cheeks, huge round eyes of orange. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Heavy cobby body with matching legs and huge rounded paws. Tail of correct length, thick at base with a rounded tip and sporting clear rings. Very clear black spots, with a warm contrast on his chest and front legs, but his body contrast is rather ‘cold’ in colour at present. Excellent coat for length and density, just a little soft in texture.

Bi-coloured Kitten
1st & bob – Potter’s Kabenbe Iam Henry (31f)
Delightful little boy with a lovely ‘open’ facial expression. Neat round head, ears just a tad large for balance at present. Good round eyes with orange in the centres. Little chubby cheeks. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Good sized body for his age of only 5 months. Thickset short legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion with a rounded tip, showing ghost rings at present.
Attractive cream patching, although this is showing ghost spotting. Excellent coat for length and density.
